The report of a voyage in this green country
The detailed report is available, including a gallery and a Google map.

This page gathers information for a new voyage this year in Ireland. The beginning is just general information. For prices or “tips”, take a look on the preceding voyages (in french, sorry) : 2003 - 2004 - 2005/1 - 2005/2 - 2006.

Ireland is an Isle. That is why there are two possibilities : boat or plane. From France, it is not too expensive if you buy your ticket early.
Tip : rent a car in Ireland is probably the best choice for your safety. You have to drive left. With a wheel on left, foreign drivers tend to drive on the middle of narrow roads.

Ireland offers many possibilities. For young people, youths hostels sometimes in centre town like in Galway or lost in the countryside propose low prices. There are also camp sites for those which have a tight tent or a caravan (wild camp is prohibited and lots of car park can't be accessed with a caravan). Hostels often near a golf and tourist interests are for the fortunate people (compared with french hostels prices). For those who want to be free in their stages, there are B&B, one of symbols of Ireland. Attention, the reception in a B&B is often inversely proportional to the number of rooms. Off peak, night rate is less expensive, idem out of the tourist cities.

What to do

Take a look at the tourist office of Ireland to discover all you can do in Ireland. For special events, is probably one of the best source.
My next stay in Ireland will be the occasion :
